Elicina is a patented, natural cream gathered from the secretions of the Chilean snail Helix Aspersa Muller. The very same secretions the snail uses to quickly regenerate his shell and body whenever it is damaged.
Elicina was discovered by chance. In 1980 the Bascunan family of Chile was raising snails as a culinary export to Europe. It was apparent that the handling of the snails softened the workers’ skin. If a worker was injured with a minor cut while carrying the snail cages it was amazing to see how rapidly the wound would heal without any infection or scarring.
Fernando Bascunan, then a medical student, conducted a rigorous scientific study of the Helix Aspersa Muller, the Chilean snail’s extract. The study confirmed the extracts healing effects and benefits to the human skin.
It took 15 years to develop the Snail secretion into a cosmetic repair cream and Elicina was patented in the world organazation of patents of Geneva. In 1995, Elicina was launched into the Chilean market where it was met with overwhelming success by grateful consumers. Today Elicina is used throughout South America, Europe, the USA, Canada, and the Far East.
Elicina does not contain any colourings or fragrance and works well under any moisturiser. ELICINA is hypoallergenic and its ingredients are biocompatible, so there is little risk of a sensitive or allergic reaction.
It has not undergone the harsh chemical and physical processing typically used to produce protein supplements. Elicina Cream is available in a 40-gram jar. The glycolic acid content in it will gently peel the outer layer of your skin, and for some people this means dryness and a tightening feeling, which can easily be remedy. Just wait about 10 minutes for the cream to be absorbed and then apply on top a moisturizer. Recommended non-comedogenic (not acne prone) moisturizers are: Alboline Lotion, Shepard’s Cream, Lubriderm Lotion, Mineral and Petroleum Oil, Safflower and Sunflower Oil.

Collagen – The structural protein that gives the skin its rigidity and along with Elastin, is a main component of human skin and connective tissue.
Elastin – The protein that gives the skin its elasticity. The body slows down its production of elastin once mature, causing the skin to age!
Glycolic Acid (1.6%) – enhances natural exfoliation, re-hydrates, inhibits free radicals and also promotes the body’s own production of Collagen.
